• Portable working earths are utilized to ensure that an overhead line  may be safely earthed/grounded. Models are available to cover systems voltage from 6.6kV to 132kV, with different  fault ratings.
• The higher the fault level the thicker the conductors, to ensure that the excess current can be conducted safely to earth.
• Operated by means of a link stick

How does the unit work?

• The linesman should always work between 2x visible grounded earths. This is known as the safe zone. Should the line be mistakenly energised or be struck by lightning the linesman will be protected from electrical shock, by working between these safety earth conductors.

3 x 4m Phase leads of 95mm2 flexible copper red insulation c/w screw on clamp one side and earth clamp for earth ball on the other side
1 x Operating head
1 x Red carry bag
Kits are available with 4m & 6m length leads

Installation of CES
CES20.4 or CES20.6
1. Attached earth clamp of each lead to earth ball in substation.
2. Attache operating head to link stick.
3. Insert spindle of screw on phase clamp into operating head, hook over conductor and tighten clamp by rotating the link stick..
4. Repeat step 3 with the remaining two leads.
5. Removal is the exact reverse of application
